JB Beach House

I did stay at the Beach House in March 2018. It is located directly at the beach, wonderfull location.uld Some rooms have beach view, some donˋt - be sure what you are booking. Mine had a own deck and was beach facing. It does not include any other facilities than the rooms. However, close by you find some shops and restaurants, even in walking distance.

Given price and location, the room was a great deal even for one person. Rooms was basic standard(I was told, they are upgrading shortly), but functional, very clean and still nice and comfy. Everything was well maintained. I would even say „taking care with love“. The room has no a/c, but large sliding doors and a ceiling ventilator.

WiFi was available for free, but somewhat slow.

I especially loved the bed - I prefer firm matrices and pillows not making any noises. And obviously the look from the bed to the beach while having breakfast.

Tina - the manager - did even an extra round, as due to some incident I did arrive after the official desk hours and she made it possible just swapping 2 emails. Staff generally very friendly.

I would rate it over par even its a basic room and recommend it for a nice beach stopover, even if you‘re not a surfer.

Be aware, that waves...

We arrived and there was nobody at the reception desk and there was no electrical power. Luckily we had purchased a ZA cell phone chip and were able to contact somebody. The room was small and the TV did not function, upon check out the lady did not even apologize for the inconvenience, nor offer a discount. This is not a B & B as there is no breakfast provided. This can be taken at the neighbors (The African Experience). It is very close to the beach (50 meters) and parking is on the street in front of the establishment. The price was reasonable, but it's worth to pay a little bit more and get better...

This place is an absolute recommendation! Lovely room (we have Nr 4 on ground floor) which has good size for a couple and is fitted with microwave, kitchen sink, lots of kitchen stuff, fridge and tv.||Beautiful patio with garden- and ocean view (the room has huge glass sliding doors).|Big bathroom with window, beautiful design - everything nice and very clean.|Also a wardrobe of good size is available.|Located very close to the lovely white sand beach and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves.||Would always come back and already regret we have 2...
