Port St Francis Ships Bell Apartments — Hotel in Kouga Local Municipality

We stayed here for three nights from 24/12/2021. The Good: This was a neat and clean apartment with a picturesque view from the balcony of the St Francis Bay harbour. The Bad: The unit is situated immediately above, and immediately next to, two bars and a restaurant. The Ugly: Drunken revelry, super-loud music and sub-par karaoke continue well into the night. Screaming kids riding skateboards along the slatted walkways and paved areas right below the unit round off the continuous cacophony, making a restful night’s sleep impossible. The Moral: If you’re a party animal who loves late nights, fancies your talent at local kareoke and dislikes sleep, this is the place for you. If however you are looking for a quiet seaside breakaway, this place will be your worst...

What an awesome apartment over-looking the harbour and the sea to the right.||Super convenient restaurants right next door and a breakfast place on the ground floor.||||A walk across to the private beach was fun for our youngster. ||||Unbelievable value for money considering how beautiful the place is and the water front view. ||One night would cost many thousands more anywhere else in the world so stay longer rather.||||There are some awesome walks right from the Port, to the point, into the village along the sea front or across to Cape St Francis lighthouse (a 5km along the prestine beach)||||We will be back....

We spent three days and 100% efficient from the time we arrived. Key was in the key-pad holder as promised. Apartment was clean and ample size. Every apartment looks onto the ski-boat harbor and being west facing, great to sit there and have a sun-downer glass of wine. There are 2 excellent restaurants within 100 meters as well as a great little pub downstairs. We were there out of season and were surprised that if we didn't book into the restaurants we didn't get in so obviously well patronised...
