Eagles' Rock — Hotel in Kwa Sani Local Municipality

Whenever I visit Eagles’ Rock, I am reminded of how picturesque this planet is! Nestled on top of a mountain/hill, one is spoilt for choice in terms of accommodation and the views are breathtakingly serene. The owners, Sandra and Ludwig, always go out of their way to accommodate one’s needs. All the properties have fireplaces, which is wonderful and cosy for colder days. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and have an added bonus of heated blankets. Everything is super clean and neat, and every property is well kitted out with all basic amenities.

Eagles’s Rock is very well situated just outside of town so that you feel like you are at a retreat, but close enough to be able to buy whatever you need.

I would highly recommend this mountain retreat to anyone who wants to rest...

Our family planned a special Christmas and booked the entire resort, family came from all over South Africa and abroad. Our wing of the family stayed in the wood cabin Lammergeier. The cabin provided magnificent views and the bedrooms were acceptable, however the cabin is in need of some maintenance and the deck has seen better days, my grandfather fell on the decks uneven planks. The fridge did not close properly, the gas oven had to be turned to maximum to get anything cooked and the fresh spring water was brown. We were given a 10% discount after complaining about the deck which was refunded to us as payment was expected in full before check in. Overall I liked the place but would not book another stay until they have done some...

I have visited with friends, but unfortunately don't remember the name of the house we stayed in😊 it was located higher than others, on top of a small hill and slept 10 people. Anyway... beautiful location with stunning views! Great, peaceful evenings under beautiful stars (first time to see Milky Way, so it'll stay in my heart forever!) and wonderful for morning coffee, watching misty valleys and sun rise. Although, the furniture in major need of TLC and new sheets would also be a bonus😊 still, this did not spoilt it one bit!! Regards to best guards of the grounds, Morpheus and Gracey, and cuddles to the 18yr old kitty...
