We were caught camping in the worst storm to hit KZN in 40 years. Blue Sky was the only accomodation who invited us to stay for only one night, everybody else refused us because they only allow guests to stay for 2 nights or more. ||Not only did they welcome us, they went out of their way to assist us in every possible way. They served us a hearty home cooked meal in front of a log fire and when our car had a flat battery the next morning, the owner, Barrett, spent over an hour to help us get the car going again. ||We were so impressed with the kindness of him and all the staff at Blue Sky. ||Only once we were rested, we found that they are situated in such a perfect spot overlooking the ocean. They are surrounded with the best surfing, deep sea fishing, diving and snorkeling that KZN can offer....
Read moreI was there in 2018 and had a much better experience then. I went back because I thought that I would get the same standard as before. Unfortunately, I was greatly dissapointed in how much the standards dropped. There is no entertainment for kids, but there was before. The maintenance was not upheld throughout and there is a lot of repairs to be done. 90% of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We paid our card for 4 days of our stay at the restaurant/bar then it became a problem for them and we had to go to an ATM to witdhraw cash to pay. This was very inconvenient as we never carry cash. We stayed 7 days and paid for the family room, but the matresses on the beds were only 20cm in depth that made our stay very uncomfortable. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay but I will not go back...
Read moreUnwilling to assist with refund despite giving 2 weeks notice of cancelation due to last minute immigrate request. Cancelation policy is 3 weeks notice which I find is a bit too long ahead of anyone to give notice as anything can change.
Today's time people don't have money just to throw away / loose specially when giving more than ample time and notice of cancelation. If it was less than 5 day's notice I'd agree but with 2 weeks notice is ample time of notice and for anyone willing to book space.
I even counter offered to pay a small "penalty" fee so I could get some money back but still rejected.
If this is service I definitely won't recommend this place to anyone.
