When visiting Jay and Bee Guest House, expect issues with your reservation and poor customer service from the management.
The place is stunning and the employees are friendly, however, the management falls short in customer service. We were left stranded for approximately an hour after checking in on the 31st of December 2024 because our reservation wasn't handled per our request.
We were a group of ladies who made a reservation and paid the deposit for 3 rooms in October 2024, requested for them to be near one another for convenience. Everything was confirmed, but to our surprise, upon arrival on the 31st of December 2024, we found that they had booked one room on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and the other room was unavailable.
Matlatsi (🤭I hope I spelled the name correctly) she is a staff member there did her utmost to assist us however, the owner was incredibly stubborn, rude, dismissive, and simply refused to acknowledge our concerns. At one point, she even suggested that we seek other accommodations if we were unhappy with how the rooms were reserved, stating that there was nothing she could do about the unavailable room. Additionally, she informed us that if we cancel the unavailable room, we would have to cancel all our rooms, and there would be no refund. She also mentioned that she follows a first-come, first-served policy, but how is that applicable when we had already booked and paid a deposit in advance, even called her on the morning of the 31st to confirm that were coming. +/-40 minutes later, she arrived at the Guest house to address the problem, but it wasn't resolved to our complete satisfaction, so we had to reach a compromise for the other ladies to sleep on the floor the entire trip and she took no accountability.
We experienced a power outage for about 30 minutes on the 1st of January 2025 and there was not communication from the staff or management, the Wi-Fi was unstable throughout our stay, lastly, they should improve their...

Read moreThe guesthouse should warn people that the driveway is horrendously steep. My husband damaged our Hyandui Elantra as it got stuck as we tried to leave on the road! A few hours before this a taxi got stuck at the other gate. This had not been resolved by the time we scraped ourselves free. Linen and towels were nice and it was clean with an African black diamond theme and a communal TV room. Value for money but honestly the driveway was a huge problem...
