Although pretty, I didn't feel comfortable staying at this establishment for the reasons specified. Things I enjoyed about my stay:||- I liked the comfort of the beds and linen. ||- The property grounds was beautifully manicured. ||- Bar fridge in the room.||- Mosquito guards on windows.||||Things I did not enjoy:||- Reception didn't feel warm and authentic and it resulted in me immediately not feeling comfortable being there.||- The floors were wooden but hollow so when anyone walked, it was loud.||- The room stated double/twin bed and when we got there, it was twin, which was awkward for me and my husband. I would prefer that when making the booking, it should clearly state whether it is a twin room, or double so you know what you're going to get.||- The room had an unpleasant smell (like a spare room smell) - not the beds, which was fine; the room itself.||- The bathroom wasn't adjoined to the bedroom so we had to leave the room and walk down the hall to get there.||- The shower head needs to be replaced.||- When I accidentally spilled sauce on the floor and asked the hostess for a cloth to wipe up, she wasn't happy with me. It was an accident. The way she handled it made me feel like a naughty child.||- I didn't enjoy breakfast, which was a slice of toast, topped with savoury mince and a fried egg. I would have preferred options to choose from so that I managed what I ate. Read moreVery unprofessional and worst experience ever! On the 30th November 2021 I made A reservation via Booking.com and paid. I requested check in time between14.00h -15.00h We received email advising this was not be possible. Check in time was from 15.00h. When we arrived at the property at 15.00h we rang and rang the intercom. The gardener eventually opened for us and he phoned the owner and we were requested to wait on the verandah. After waiting almost three quarter hour the owner arrived. Unfortunately I made an error on the double room reservation, booking only for one guest while my search had been for 2 guests. Immediately informed the lady that the reservation should have been for 2 guests and would pay the difference there. She then advised me that her price did not include vat and I must pay additional amount for that. When I mentioned the website had stated the price was including taxes but that I would pay the difference she got very irritated and said we must rather leave. Having already paid online I contacted booking.com to arrange my refund and to top it all the owner refused to cancel the reservation in order for my refund to be processed!!! Read moreVery unprofessional establishment... There wasn't anyone to open the gates when I had especially made a formal written request to check in at a specific time. The room was booked and paid for two weeks prior. I pressed the intercom button and hooted repeatedly to no avail. When I called the number on the website, I was told that I needed to go find a place to have a cup of coffee whilst I waited for the owner to return. Or she would get another guest to open the gate. She did get another guest to open the gate, but unfortunately it closed before I could start my car and drive in..I hooted, but didn't get anyone's attention... I left and found other accommodation. I missed a call from her at 7:30 pm that night...till date, no follow up...
