My recent stay at Masinga was absolutely enchanting! This place is an amazing hidden gem, offering far more value than expected. The collection of antiques and the attention to detail show both taste and the time taken to curate it. It beautifully portrays the intentionally built character of what Masinga is. Beyond a uniquely beautiful space, Masinga is indeed a restorative experience. I could not believe how all those antiques work! Amazing. Sleeping in the pimped caravan with its clear, elevated roof to watch the night sky was magical. We had options between electric blankets, heater, and aircon to ensure that we were warm and cozy during cool nights. Of course, we indulged in the electric blanket to feed our nostalgic feel.

The space is thoughtfully designed to make you feel good and restored. The outdoor bath area with its privacy screens and fragrant garden was breathtaking. The Spaza shop was a delightful convenience, ensuring we had everything we needed. As a self-proclaimed wine enthusiast, I spent a significant amount of time on the deck that leads into the Yellowwoods and next to the fireplace at night.

A highlight of our stay was the incredible host, Lynn. She is hands-on but still gives you the space to feel alone and serene. Lynn provided excellent guides and videos for an easy check-in process and was always kind and thoughtful. Her sense of humor and lightheartedness shone through in the snippet notes left around the place, adding a personal and delightful touch to our stay.

From the moment we arrived at Masinga, we were enveloped in a sense of tranquility and warmth. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this unique retreat offers an intimate escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Not a good experience on my 26th wedding anniversary. We couldn't sit down and eat our dinner because of the rain. The table and chairs is outside with no shelter. The bath is also outside with no shelter. The caravan was nice but you get wet when you need to go to the toilet. Masinga is in a backyard in a residential area and for us it didn't feel the same.
