At first, we were stressed as we could not get the key from the safe. However, after trying several times, we managed to get it easily from the safe. Dassieshoek Cottage 1 is a lovely place for hikers to spend their time preparing for the amazing Arangieskop journey. There are several rooms, enough beds to host 20 people. Hot running water and electricity. It was lovely to relax at the Cottage, as it was clean as well.

Perfect for what we needed. Ample space and serene. Really easy to find and I've decided Robertson is basically my favourite town! There is a braa and mini fridge to store your bottles and bladders and snacks for the hike. A nice shower before bed. Just remember to switch the geyser on when you arrive or it will be a cold shower!
