If you're looking for an off the grid break, this is the place for you. This mountain lodge is perched perfectly on a ridge, overlooking the valley.
We booked a cottage (cottage 7) which is semi detached with cottage 8. The cottages are located away from the main lodge. Our cottage was well appointed and luxurious, with all the required amenities. It has its own wood fired hot tub, which we took full advantage of. It does take a while to heat up but its worth the wait.
The view from the veranda is amazing and it is worth waking up a little earlier to enjoy the amazing sunrise, while having your breakfast or first cup of heaven (aka coffee).
The main lodge has a lovely lounge and dining area, where breakfast and dinner is served (requires patrons to order ahead). They do not have any othet offering.
The infinity pool and deck provides another amazing view of the Langeberg mountain range and valley.
The service is out of this world. Tendy was an amazing host. He attended to our requirements promptly and his friendly demeanor just added to our already great experience.
My only negative comment (which is why i gave an overall rating of 4) is the gravel road leading up to the lodge.
There is a stretch of gravel that you would have to negotiate before you get to the concrete road. If you have a vehicle with little to no ground clearance, you will die a thousand deaths before you reach the concrete road. There is a gravel road before you reach the gates of the lodge as well but that was easy on the car.
Tip: Make sure you come via the town of Robertson. Following Google maps blindly may take you via a back road of 15 kms of gravel road...

It was awesome to have a self catering option, as well as being able to have the option of doing Breakfast and/or supper. We had breakfast on the last morning there...the breakfast was awesome, delicious and filling. The design of this lodge was very carefully thought out, the suite was spacious yet cozy, modern and even the braai was designed for any weather condition.
