Kingfisher Cottages — Hotel in Langeberg Local Municipality

What a stunning location! My husband and I stayed in the Giant Cottage for 3 nights and were spoilt in every sense. ||The cottage is beautiful, and super cosy in the evenings with the indoor fireplace. The layout offers privacy, and the most gorgeous panoramic views of the mountains from the deck and wood-fired hot tub. ||Because there are no city lights anywhere near the location, stargazing was just magical - we spent at least 3 hours enjoying the stars from the hot tub every night. You'll also enjoy experiencing some very unique wild animal sounds from the surrounding environment! ||We ventured out on the recommended hiking trail to echo pool. It was lovely! If you've got shoes with some good grip and you don't mind a bit of jumping and climbing, it's a short, easy hike, with a rewarding little spot to cool off in the natural pool or picnic on the rocks.|We also caught the sunset from the mountain across the cottages and found some very interesting fossils at top. Only about a 10/ 15min walk and definitely worth checking out - take sundowners ;)||Veronica and Marco were excellent hosts, and were always on standby and happy to help if we needed anything. A Hidden Gem – Kingfisher Cottages

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kingfisher Cottages. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly hosts, who struck the perfect balance between being helpful and respecting our privacy throughout the stay.

The cottage itself was spotless — everything was impeccably clean, including the bedding, which felt fresh and inviting. It's clear that great care and attention goes into maintaining the space.

Surrounded by serene nature, this is truly a haven for anyone looking to relax and disconnect. The peace and quiet were unmatched, and the star gazing at night was simply breathtaking. Bird lovers will be in paradise with the variety of species to spot right from your doorstep.

We also enjoyed exploring the hiking routes available — there's something for everyone, from gentle walks to more challenging trails. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the nearby trout farm. It was fascinating to learn about the process, and a unique experience that added to the charm of the stay.
