Q's Boutique Stay — Hotel in Lekwa Local Municipality

Book if you would like to put your life at risk of electrocution. My family and I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding. At first glance the place looks pleasing, but the devil is in the detail. The rooms had constant power issues. This was compounded by erratic water supply. If that's not bad enough, considering that power and water was vital in order to get dressed and ready for the events, the cherry on top was, when there was power and water, the shower had some electric current running through the tap handle which electrocuted you every time you touched it when the water was running. We had to resort to using plastic shampoo bottles to adjust the tap to avoid getting shocked. We also struggled with timeous cleaning of the rooms. Service was always late in the afternoon and poorly done which again was a huge inconvenience considering the reason we had booked in the first place. We also found the cleaning up and refreshing of amenities to be poor. We had to ask for towels and soap etc and the bedding was not refreshed. The restaurant was also sub standard. First Guesthouse I have stayed at that cant accommodate 2 x single men unless you take another room, one of us sleeping on the floor was the only option...shocking to say the least No noise policy, loud music all hours of the night, guests partying in front of units with cars driving up and down at full speed etc, we had to go out and ask them to tone it down on several occasions (where is the manager?)..unfortunately leaving 0 stars wasnt an option so was forced to give them 1 star. At the price they charge I would have rather slept in the bathroom at the local school...
