We first visited during the winter of 2023. It was our annual "Dad and boys" camping trip. It just showed that take away all the electronics and screens, and children will still find something to do by using their own imagniation and creativity. The days were nice and warm and the evenings slightly coolish, but nothing like the Gauteng highveld during winter.
Bathrooms were clean and provided for an unique experience with the outside shower. The fact that the camping sites are so far from each other, provided ample opportunity to really relax and just switch off. Nights around the campfire gave you that real Africa feel with almost no artifical light spoiling the darkness.
Hiking trails were well marked and kept and provided ample kilometres to run and mountain bike on. Chances are pretty good that you will cross paths with the local wildlife like eland, blue wildebeest, giraffes and many more during your hike/run/ride.
Will be visiting during March this year again and looking forward to how the bush will look during late summer...

Sites are decently spaced to ensure privacy and the small pool is a very welcome addition in summer.
