Great potential but poorly executed…
We booked the permanent tent for our family of 4 as we loved the idea of a private setting with our own ablutions. This setup is great with comfortable space for 4, spacious bathroom and outdoor shower. The tent also has a cozy porch which faces into the surrounding bushveld leaving you totally secluded.
Unfortunately the unit had not been cleaned from previous stays as was evident by the state of the carpets, waste bin, plastic wrappers on the floor and nail clippings left behind… we decided to endure for the children’s sake and spent a good hour and 3 bottles of sanitiser cleaning the place up.
In addition, the resident pitbull-cross-mastiff left a significant amount of droppings in almost every wind direction ensuring that we experienced its fecal aroma all around camp.
The lighting in camp did not work on arrival but this was quickly handled by the friendly owner, he also religiously lit the donkey boiler morning and evening to ensure we enjoyed warm showers.
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the 2 swimming pools and little playground in the main area which has rolling green lawns and beautiful trees as a setting.
In general the facilities seem well thought out and very enjoyable but the lack of hygiene in our unit will keep us from visiting again.
With the right execution we will be happy to visit here often at triple the price range but remain concerned about the...

Must say that it was a real blast to be there. The mountains is awesome to look at and the toilets are very clean. There is paving for your tent / caravan, a water point and an electric point with a pool and BOMA area and braais all over. The only bad thing is the 2.5km sand road that is harsh on your car so bring along your bakkie or SUV and enjoy a place that I think is fabulous for a...

The camp was exactly what we needed. Quiet, neat and in the bush. The bathrooms are neat and tidy. Ample hot water for dishes and showering. Braai facilities are in good condition. The swimming pool is amazing. Fani maintains the property exceptionally well. Property dogs are a dream to have around, Slso friendly and well looked after.
We will definitely be back.
