Eagle Waters Wildlife Resort — Hotel in Madibeng Local Municipality

This place has so much potential but there seems to be no interest from management/owners. First of all it took us about 20 minutes just to get into the resort as the booking that we made, was not logged into the system on the day that we were physically there and made the booking & payment. We therefor had no waterfront stand & on entering the campsite was asked our stand number ?? Who knows the stand numbers as most of them are eligible & as for the others, the poles are simply laying on the ground. So we randomly just chose a spot. The stands have random bricks laying around, we had no dustbin and wanted to move a dustbin from another empty stand closer, but is was almost half filled with rubbish & rain water - this dustbin was never cleaned in the 3 days that we were camping even though the cleaners did walk by. The cleaners provided us with a black bag but the ash in our braai was just left - this is usually done at other camping sites. The bathrooms need a serious upgrade & good cleaning - not only are the bathrooms dirty (once a day over a long week-end is not enough) but there is NO hot water. On our first day the geyser was so hot & steaming so badly that the bathroom mirrors were steamed up, BUT none of the hot taps worked?? Second & third day the geyser was simply switched off. Not fun camping with absolutely no hot water. The rules of the resort are not adhered to - we had to listen to blasting music from vehicles that simply drove into the swimming pool area & did whatever they wanted. Rubbish & bottles everywhere. Surely no glass should be allowed at the pool?? There should be visible security/staff to see that all campers abide by the rules & if there are any problems that need addressing, to deal with it. On a positive note, the nice shady trees & animals are awesome (5 stars) - so wonderful having the wildlife walking freely through the campsite. Note : It should be against the rules for campers to chase them around & we did pick up a snare that should have NO place...

What a bad service we received from the manager who is rude and don not care about the guests, the pool was dirty at the camping area, when we inquire from his colleagues he told them to come to him, we called him he lied to say he is sending someone, we then decided to drive to the office and talk to him he then told us the pools are dirty because they do not have chemicals to clean. ||||Check out day we packed our stuffs from camping area, we went swimming to the day visitors pool, and to go out of the gate we were an hour late, the manager stupid rude dude asked us to pay for being an hour late, he blocked the gates and coursed a scene||||Saturday afternoon while we were camping, the other guests had a physical fight with the manager, he then called the police||||when i do my inquiries he couldn't even explain to me nicely, he is super rude with a calm voice, he doesn't know what he is talking about.||||the resort is not taken good care of, the shower facilities are so dirty i could not even bath, ||||we couldn't even sleep at night because of the Zebras eating our stuffs outside, searching the rubbish bins making hell lot of noise ||||Then place is just fukced up because of the management, i am no longer wasting my...

Disappointed. My expectations of the resort based on your advert was misleading. Your ablusion block is in a shocking state. Toilet seats and water tank covers missing. The place is dirty, walls are dirty and plenty spider webbs. The area where cleaning tools and chemicals should be kept is full of rubbish. The stand where I was directed to by your unfriendly staff, had a 1 meter hole( partially filled) in the middle of the stand. You reception at the gate needs a lot to be desired. There is no customer relations, except the friendly lady in the office lady, with regards to your staff, at the gate, and in the park. I have sent a letter of review to caravan and outdoor with my experience at your park. I will no recommend anyone to your park, or visit it again. I have been caravaning for many years, and this is probably the worst camp I have encountered. The idea of camping is to get away from the noise and bussel of city life, to have peace and quite,especially at night. All we encountered was singing and clapping of hands late into the night. Fellow caravaners shouted at the noisy people to keek qiute at one stage at night. I do not find these conditions condusive for...
