Lana's Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Mahikeng Local Municipality

Since one work hard all year round. Thought I should treat myself with a massage and a manicure, the massage treatment was relaxing and the music very calming. However I'm very disappointed with the manicure I have done, I am a professional Bio Sculpture nail technician and I felt cheated with the way my nails was done. They were so untidy and the nail polish gel coverd my cuticles and my fingers were all mushy. I don't dispute the fact that the lady explained to me that the gel lift in 3 days. My concern is why use cheap products and people who are not certified to do the nails. I felt my profession was being downgraded, not everyone is a nail technician until they have gone for a proper training. I feel that the owner should invest in good quality products if he/she wants to maintain good clientele for a long period. I regret allowing to do my nails with products I'm not familiar with. Supporting our local businesses sometimes means losing money for services that are not up to standard. I further thought I could have lunch after such a dissapointing nail experience. At the restaurant it was way much worse, sat there for approximately 20 minutes with no service. I then left as I was unhappy with the nails and the assistance at the restaurant. I thought supporting new business and giving good reviews will put the Hotel on the map. But not treating people equally might kill the business as I noticed that people who buy alcohol are made number one priority. Professionalism should come first and the manner in which business is conducted says a lot about the establishment....

Pool was full of dust that had settled the bottom Had to clean it myself before swimming which was unpleasant as well that had to taste all that dust from the water Please get a pool cover so you can avoid such, your location is near a dusty road so you can at least cover the pool and open it when in use Power cuts and load shedding is something we experience in our country: While travelling it's the last thing we want to affect our experience at such places so please improve your generators as we had to stay in silent darkness because your generators only run half of the night and morning Some of us work international hours and your WiFi was just a mission...

This is my preferred accommodation in Mafikeng. The reception area is welcoming with welcome drinks upon arrival. Check in is seamless. The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The food is delicious with an a la carte menu to choose from. The restaurant and pool areas are so relaxing. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, not to mention the restaurant staff.
