Marang Gardens Lodge — Hotel in Mahikeng Local Municipality

Oh my word, what a traumatic experience for someone who is afraid of rats... I didn't sleep a wink because of the rats, it felt like they were crawling all over my body. Then woke in the morning to only shower with ice cold water in the middle of winter. Then there was breakfast, I asked for my eggs to be Sunnyside up soft, they served me brunt eggs. I asked them to remake them, this time not burnt just hard as rock overdone... I didn't even bother asking again. Worst experience in Mafikeng for someone traveling...

The water quality isn't good for human consumption. The accommodation only gives 500ml bottled water, which is too small for a guest. On the second day I tasted their water and I regret that decision because I had a terrible running stomach. Water is very cheap and a necessity for all guests. Instead of 500ml, the amounts could be increased to 2litres or 1.5 litres. Water is a basic human necessity that cannot even cost the lodge huge...

Had a wonderful wedding there...everything was perfect and breathtaking..from their professional warm service to their venue, willingness to help and go extra mile, to their wonderful lodging. Rooms are cozy and breakfast was great. Words cannot begin to describe how much I appreciate Marang Gardens Lodge, staff and management. A big thank you...
