This was my second time staying at Blue Skies. The first time was during the Grahamstown Arts Festival. I had an awesome time then so didn't hesitate to make use of Blue Skies again. The backpackers is situated about a 2 min drive outside of the town hub. And peaceful is a nice way to describe the location. I enjoyed making use of the great outdoor areas in the mornings and evenings to soak up the quiet airfield the backpackers is next to. The host, Sean, also really brings the place to life. Super friendly guy and very helpful. We had many a good chat with him around a braai and also some good laughs. He's very knowledgeable of the area so he can point you in the right direction if you want to go drink at one of Grahamstowns cool watering holes.||I'm returning to the Arts festival later this year, and I have a strong suspicion I'll be staying there again. Read moreWandering out on the mostly quiet air field shortly after sunrise or returning after a busy night in Grahamstown you'd always find time to exchange great stories with Sean who runs the hostel with heart and soul! We only stayed one night but it felt like saying goodbye to friends! The hostel has great charm and everything is perfectly looked after by the owner Sean and his mate Justin. We came by more by coincidence but had an amazing time! 5/5 if you are looking for a relaxed place to stay or chill in grahanstown.... We'd love to return in summer for the full vibe! Cheers...
