
From the incompetent reception staff that could not locate my online booking for 10 minutes to the state of the room , one of the worse hotels that I have visited in the world .||The door to the room was a stable door and the lock holding the two sections together was broken .||The bathroom and room lights are on the same switch , and of the 6 bulbs in the light fixtures only 3 worked .||The bed was so soft and the pillows too , making sleep next to impossible .||To use the kettle you have to unplug the TV or the freeview decoder so you cannot boil the kettle while watching TV, Not a bad thing considering there are only 8 channels on the system , which in todays day and age is pathetic .||So fire up the laptop and ignore the TV , well no there is no signal in the rooms and you are expected to pay for Wifi , come on free wifi is a standard requirement for any hotel for sure these days .||And the three steps in the bathroom that you need to climb to use the facilities at least they distract you from the holes in the tiles and the spiders webs in the shower .||||In short I suppose you get what you pay for like most things in life but you would expect a certain minimum standard from whats is advertised as a...

Read moreFamily and I went to Grahamstown for the Rhodes University graduation. Spent the weekend at this establishment. ||The Highs: ||The staff is amazing. Foster is an amazing man, who is always ready to help. The cleaning ladies are just as great - no ask was too big. The bungalows were comfortable and clean. Our family was treated amazingly. ||Close enough to Grahamstown, if you want to be away from the city||The Lows: ||Hot water wasn't always readily available in our bungalow. One of the three bungalows, had a constant supply of hot water. The establishment has no DSTv. They use OpenView, but unfortunately, the signal is so weak that you end up watching a grey, blurry screen. Luckily, we weren't in our rooms long enough for the TVs to be an issue. ||Wasn't really sure what to expect when I made the bookings, but the place served its purpose.
