Water Lodge Pumba Game Reserve — Hotel in Makana Local Municipality

Had a glorious time here very recently, one word - MAGICAL, the accommodation we stayed in was an Impala Chalet with its own plunge pool on your own private deck looking at the lake where Hippopotamus live , exceptionally lucky to see them. One day woken by the sound of one of the lions 🦁 roaring - just WOW. The game drives included in the all inclusive package were a massive treat , we saw the pride of Lions together with 3 cubs , herd of Elephants at the watering hole , Wildebeest, Giraffes, Rhinos, Impala, Zebras, Buffalo, Jackals all because our guide & all the guides are superb at the job and make it great fun. Great Food , Wine & the main lodge has awesome views and comfortable lounge area , restaurant , bar , other activities on offer to fishing, archery. We have just completed a 3 night stay at Pumba Reserve and we absolutely loved it.

The park, the rooms, food and staff were all exceptional.

The rooms were spotless everytime we returned from either dinner or a drive, and the views were incredible.

The staff at dinner were fabulous, always making sure you were ok, and the food was fantastic, lots of variety.

The staff at reception always on hand for any requests, and made my partners birthday super special.

We treated ourself to a treatment which was also very nice.

A special mention must go to our driver Lena. She was knowledgable, accommodating with a good heart, she made all our drives varied, and we managed to spend ample time with all the animals we came across, she is a great asset to Pumba!

An unbelievable experience, from start to finish. All team members are there to help you enjoy your stay, rooms are amazing with each chalet at the Water Lodge having a private balcony overlooking the lake. There are two game drives each day and the Rangers are amazing, we had Nati who was so knowledgeable and patient. He knew where to find the animals and we had many encounters up close. Between drives, there's the food which is amazing complemented by first class hospitality. When you return to your chalet after your 3 course dinner, the fire has been lit and hot water bottles await you in your bed. Spectacular from start to finish, would definitely...
