We spent a night at Leshiba on14th October 2023 - what a wonderful experience. The accommodation is unique, they thought of every little thing, from warm water bottles to the nicest shower gels, the finishing touches are of the best quality, an outside shower and an inside shower, a fireplace, a huge bath with a gorgeous view of the mountain, gowns and slippers, the bed was very comfortable with clean white cotton linen and everything in the room was perfect. The food was out of this world. The meals were fresh and delicious and they even catered a gluten free birthday cake (thank you for going the extra mile). Our two game activities were amazing - a game drive and a walk to see the bushmen paintings. Jack's knowledge of the bush was awesome and his passion was very obvious. A massive thank you to the Leshiba Team - Joyce, Isack and Jack (they people we had the most contact with) BUT also thank you to the team in the background, housekeeping and kitchen assitents - you made us feel like family and we got really spoilt. Read moreAfter an exciting drive up to the top of the Soutpansberg mountains in the northern part of Limpopo, a hidden valley unfolded in front of us. Green, lush and draped in a mysterious mist. We had landed at Leshiba Wilderness – an eco-lodge beyond our wildest dreams and that does not cut back on creature comforts.
As we are always looking for other places with a green ethos, Leshiba is a true gem. Entering the Venda Art Lodge, we were surrounded by art pieces and sculptures made by the now famous Noria Mabasa. It gives a sense of not only staying at a lodge, but in a living art museum. We were warmly greeted by the lovely staff Luckas, Joyce and the team, manager Lara and owners Kathy and Peter.
The visit included art and more art, stories about medical plants and stories from the past, making this not just a visit with breathtaking views, but also something that only great people can give. People who are truly proud of their land and what they have achieved.
Thanks so much for a fantastic visit at...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience at Leshiba. Every staff member we encountered, from the driver to ladies at reception were delightful and eager to help! Just being in the Soutpansberg was wonderful for a start, and Leshiba offers the best that these mountains have to offer. We stayed in Hamasha, and it was a perfect choice for a family of four. We had thousands of hectares to ourselves, and all we could hear were the sounds of nature... nothing else! The fauna and Flora of the Soutpansberg is so unique and special. We constantly heard the calls of countless different birds, the calls of the Purple Crested Tauraco being the most memorable. We did a couple of hiking routes, and can't wait to go back there to do them all. The views of the majestic mountains and cliffs are forever in my heart. Leshiba was the highlight of our trip to...
