ONNIE GUESTHOUSE — Hotel in Makhado Local Municipality

Terrible place to sleep!! My partner and I were greeted with a rustic charm that quickly dissipated into discomfort. The primary house rule stated: "No going out after 22h30”, imagine paying for comfort and freedom and then get told not to go out after a certain time? Cummon!! This is a place for adults and not children!!

But then it didn’t stop there

Upon entering our room, we encountered an unexpected sight—a roach scuttling across the floor, a startling.. The room was however VERY CLEAN but lacked basic amenities, like bathing soap, lotion, And a PROPER” toilet paper. They also put one bathing towel, which is weird for a room meant to be shared by two people.

We also discovered two doors in our room, one remained unnervingly unlocked-leading to the owner’s main house.. This was very unsettling and uncomfortable. In the morning, the aircon went off out of nowhere. Oh, and we had to wait for a solid 10min for someone to check the room before we could leave which was time consuming..

Long story short, we won’t be returning to this lodge.

I was a loyal customer for Onnie’Guesthouse in LTT opposite Murunwa School since 2021 whenever I bring my cars to LTT for service I always book there, but today I can tell you I will never ever go back to that Guesthouse Reasons being : Bad customer service , water was very cold and Duvets were very smelly and again most important thing No waiting Area / Reception in case u arrived before check in time, Today my dealer curtesy car dropped me around 08:30 and left me there , coz the know that is my usual place to go, but today I was told to go and stand outside the Gate till 10:30, though I tried to explain outside is not safe and I have nowhere to go except, I was very stranded Finally I got Onnie’s number from App and I called and negotiate they let me in but I was deeply hurt after being loyal for 4 years , going to same Guesthouse, referring my Friends and family there

I suggest staff must be trained for customer service

But...

This place is terrible looks fancy on the outside, the water has been cold for 2hours, I was told wait 30mins we have alot guests so there is no hot water, the owner then wanted to charge me hourly rates for been here wait for the water to get hot to bath, she is rude and arrogant, and has no mannerism. She refused to refund my full money. I HIGH ADVISE STAY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE IF YOU WANT A DECENT BATH AND...
