Interior is very bad and outdated and not clean everywhere. Shower will BURN you or Freeze you, no in-between temperature.
You have about 4 hours of power before the batteries are dead so take a few lights and torches so you don't fall off the cliff.
You have to leave a tip with for the cleaning lady but when you leave a bag in the trash can! IN THE TRASH CAN! She will use that to keep your breakage deposit. She will falsely blame you for leaving the window open even after we checked everything twice and tell you that the baboons damaged the place. We did read some reviews before we went there and we knew we had to check everything before we leave and still she will make sure she keep your money.
The images that she sent does not correspond with dates we stayed there. Very Friendly when you get there but you will hate this plase when you ask for your deposit back. So just know you will pay more than the amount you paid to book. BAD Experience!!!

On the 29 July 24 we booked for 4 people for 3&4 Oct with Rencia directly. I did notice that Booking .com was cheaper but Rencia informed us she no longer accepted bookings via them . Not sure why booking.com still advertises Kings view cave , an issue I have taken up with booking.com.
On 2 Oct at 4.30pm I was informed for the first time that we need to bring our own drinking water, firewood and R 350.00 cash breakage deposit.
No receipts are issued for any of the payments. On the 14 Oct I sent a message to Rencia requesting my refund and supplying my banking details. This message was opened but no reply was forthcoming. King’s View Cave definitely lives up to its name when it comes to the scenery — the views from the cave are absolutely breathtaking and make the challenging road up worth it. However, I would strongly recommend only using a 4x4 vehicle to get there, as the road is in poor condition.
The cave interior was a bit disappointing compared to the views. It feels outdated and could definitely use some attention and refreshing to match the natural beauty surrounding it.
A word of caution: be very careful with the host. In my experience, she seemed eager to find reasons to withhold the breakage deposit, which left a sour taste at the end of the stay. Make sure to document everything carefully upon arrival...
