Blyde Mountain Country House — Hotel in Maruleng Local Municipality

The words tranquil, majestic and beautiful are appropriate when one wishes to describe the experience of Blyde Mountain Country House.

Unfortunately we arrived quite late to the lodge and during loadshedding so we weren't really able to appreciate it's beauty until the next morning but I quite think that the wait was worth it.

The air is clean and the view of the mountains is unmatched.

The rooms are each unique and offer their own little charm however the luxury rooms which are facing the mountains are especially lovely and are definitely the best ones to get for the full experience of this place.

The breakfast was hearty and delicious each of the 2 mornings that we had it for and definitely a wonderful way to start a day of activities.

Lastly but certainly not least is the service. Our host Jacques was an absolute joy to interact with and really made us feel welcomed and possibly heightened the while experience. Thank you, Jacques.

In short I would absolutely recommend Blyde Mountain Country House to anyone going to Hoedspruit. I definitely will be coming back...

The view from the terrace is breathtakingly beautiful. Especially during the morning when the Drakensberg chain is beautifully illuminated.|Breakfast gets a nice variety daily and there is plenty of choice between hot and cold breakfasts.|The staff is very helpful with all your queries.|The room is romantically decorated and spacious. In the room, you have another separate area (next to the bathroom) to store your luggage and clothes.|The bathroom has a bathtub, in which you can shower standing up. This quaint country house is set amid amazing landscape and grounds thar are stunning. The rooms are furnished with canopy beds and designed to take you back in time, but have every modern convenience. The staff was extremely accommodating, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
