This was the holiday of a lifetime! I stayed at Chisomo Safari Camp for a week with my mum, husband and 11-year-old son. |I can’t rate this lovely holiday destination enough! The staff, the food, the accommodation, the atmosphere - and of course the safari drives and the animals!!|We were blessed to have the best Guide (Polly) and Tracker (Eddie) ever!! We had two game drives a day and had the most humbling experiences ever seeing these beautiful animals in the wild. We saw the ‘big 5’ and more! Polly and Eddie went above and beyond to make sure our safari experience was memorable. Each drive we stopped for coffee (in the morning) and wine (in the evening) - a wonderful addition to the experience, which was mirrored by the staff at Chisomo throughout our stay.|The General Managers, Ingrid and Matome were also fantastic and, again, went above and beyond on every occasion, as did lovely Cecelia (who also gave the best massage ever) and the whole team, including the catering and housekeeping staff, who works their socks off!|Along with two game drives a day, we also enjoyed a packed itinerary, including tree planting at a local school, gin tasting and a bush walk. My boys absolutely loved it - as did the girls!!|The icing on the cake was a private dinner for us under the stars on our last night. My family, along with the wonderful friends we’d made, who were part of our group, were treated to a fabulous bbq by a beautiful open fire. A very special experience and one that the staff clearly put a lot of love and effort into.|Thank you so much Chisomo for an unforgettable holiday. You have made it better than we can ever have imagined and we shall miss your smiling happy faces and wonderful hospitality!|Bravo! xxx|Charlie, Dan,...

Read moreThis Lodge is about as run down as the management. Although it's a tented Lodge, the canvas in front of the windows no longer close. We reported it to management as was informed that they merely stapled all of it closed for us. That meant our room was dark for the remainder of the visit and not to repeat it to the foreigners visiting as they would have to staple everyone's closed. We had no hot water for showers, geyser was only fixed a day later. There was no soap available to wash your hands. Shower dirty and dilapidated. Management disappears every night while a full Lodge is having dinner. The overall feel one gets is that it's dirty, and I could see that while the staff was cleaning. Btw, that gets done while you as visitors make use of the facilities. Obviously, the staff is following managements example. Our last night we were asked to hurry up having our dinner around 20:30 as the staff still had to clean up after us. That being said, no reply will rectify as money was already wasted. I will not recommend this Lodge to anyone, especially to Foreigners visiting our country. That's just sad, cause our country is beautiful and there is much better Lodges...
