Great Wildlife estate! I was here for 5 nights in Nov, at 266 Rotsvy rd, a rental house. -The main gate for the estate has a visitor and resident entrances. And a gate for pedestrians. You type in the code and it opens, or you talk to the gaurds. For the pedestrian gate it is always in person with gaurds. The guards at the gate were always very friendly and fast to open the gate for me. -When i first arrived i walked around the estate a bit because i was early and the cleaners werent done yet. I walked down to the bird hide, and ran info 3 Giraffe, a Nayla, 2 other types of impala, warthog, all in the first 2 hours of being here. -The bird hide was nice, in good shape. Good picture taking spot. Information board inside about local birds and snakes. The estate is pretty long, and the speed limit is low. I saw multiple times gaurds with speed readers ready to give tickets to speeders. I was on a bicycle so no worry for me. My lodge is far from the gate, and takes 45 min to walk to the gate, or 10 min bike ride. -I went on a bike ride in the "green belt" along the middle, saw more animals, not many people around, i think i saw 2. -The roads are in good condition, paved, great for biking around. -Lots of animals roam the area. Durring my stay at my lodge, i saw giraffe, Monkeys, impalas, many birds, bats, a Genat, warthog, bugs. -The estate is close to 2 grocery stores (pick n pay and Le Bama), which are both right outside the estate gate. There is some restaurants around the gate that i went to (fever tree, sleepers railway, KFC, Yum factory). Stores like "the great outdoors" incase you need game drive/camping/bikeing/outdoors items. -Orpen gate for Kruger park is about 1 hour drive away from the estate. -There is the Pridelands reserve right above the estate, i was booked a tour with Vast horizons tours, its about a 2 min drive from the estate gate, with the big 5, so very convinent. I was at 2 reserves just south of hoedspruit also, a game drive , and a elephant experince. both within 10 min drive of estate. Overall, it was a great week in the estate, i would love...

Read moreAbsolutely shocking. Some of the places to stay inside are nice but the actual estate is ran so poorly it will ruin your stay here. Just getting in through gate is a nightmare some days you’ll be waiting for ages to get in others the gate staff are asleep or on their phones and you have to wait for them to finish what they are doing before they will bother to open it. God forbid you say anything at reception you’ll just be met with the “I don’t care” attitude. Stayed here 3 times now with work and every single time its the same. So many better places to stay give this...
