My husband and I embarked on a safari adventure at Imagine Africa that can only be described as pure magic. From the very moment we arrived to the bittersweet farewell, every element of our journey was nothing short of perfection.

The staff’s service was truly exceptional. Our host, Lani, went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our trip was seamless and enjoyable. Her hospitality extended beyond the ordinary; she anticipated our needs and was always available to assist with a smile. Her dedication to making our stay comfortable and memorable truly set Imagine Africa apart.

Not only did Lani provide exceptional service, but the manager, Gary, also made our trip unforgettable. His wealth of knowledge about the local wildlife and ecosystem added immense value to our experience. Gary’s passion for the environment was evident in his engaging and informative conversations. His dedication to conservation and his ability to share his expertise with guests made him an invaluable asset.

What truly impressed us was the property’s immaculate condition, exceeding our expectations and offering a tranquil retreat where every detail reflected meticulous care. Our accommodations were not just comfortable but also thoughtfully designed. Our room, with its breathtaking view of the mountains, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. From our vantage point, we were even able to spot elephants in the distance!

But the heart of our safari experience at Imagine Africa was our fantastic guide, Herman, and tracker, Victor. They were dedicated to ensuring our safety and enriching our knowledge about the wildlife.

Herman’s expertise and passion for the environment were evident in every detail he shared with us. His deep understanding of the animals and their habitats made our safari not just thrilling but also incredibly informative. He always put the animals’ safety and comfort first, demonstrating the utmost respect for their habitat.

Victor’s tracking skills were nothing short of impressive. His ability to spot wildlife from a distance and follow their movements was like watching a real-life detective in action. It is no wonder he has the nickname “Eagle Eyes.” Together with Herman, they created a seamless and secure safari experience. We even spotted 4 of the big 5 in just 1 drive!

Lastly, I cannot conclude this review without mentioning the delicious food we had. It was simply incredible! Every meal was a culinary delight, offering a diverse range of flavors and dishes that catered to our dietary preferences. We were consistently blown away by the quality and presentation of each meal. The chefs at Imagine Africa are one of a kind!

From the moment we arrived at Imagine Africa Luxury Tented Camp, we knew we were in for something special – but this experience exceeded all expectations.|The camp’s location is truly unbeatable for close-up, serene wildlife encounters.|One of the absolute highlights was watching the elephants gather around the nearby watering hole. It was surreal to sit on the deck and witness these magnificent animals in their natural habitat, completely undisturbed. |Gary and the safari team were phenomenal – their tracking skills, passion, and deep knowledge of the bush made every game drive an adventure. We learned so much and had such fun, especially listening to Gary’s incredible stories, which we’re going to miss dearly!|The lodge itself is stunning and so thoughtfully run. Warren and the entire team provided exceptional service, always warm, attentive, and ready with thoughtful touches that made our stay feel luxurious yet personal.|The chef and kitchen staff provided us with the most delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners during our stay. It was a beautiful touch from the chefs to introduce each meal to us personally. You could sense their pride and passion for their food. |But the most unforgettable moment of all was getting engaged under the stars on the balcony of our tent! This was followed by the most beautiful engagement dinner, set up as a surprise by the team! The team went above and beyond, setting up a private table overlooking the elephants with a beautifully presented three-course meal. It was romantic, intimate, and simply magical – a moment we’ll cherish forever.|We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Richard and Amanda on our last day. Looking back on our holiday, we are still speechless! Without a doubt, it was the most exceptional holiday we've ever had, and we are so grateful that Imagine Africa was recommended to us by friends. We had booked the 10 day "Lions and landscapes" tour and explored the Kruger Park and the Blyde Canyon area with our guide Herman, before our stay at the Imagine Africa lodge. In our opinion, the fact that we had opted for this guided tour is the best thing we could have done. We saw and learnt so much in the Kruger Park and were able to concentrate fully on the safaris and the animals as we didn't have to drive ourselves, plan the route or the time of return to camp or read up on the individual animals. Herman took care of all this for us and always wanted the best for us. His experience and knowledge of the animals and their behaviour is just super enriching. We got on so well over the days, we laughed and experienced a lot together. Last but not least, he turned us into real Springbok fans, so that even after our holiday we followed the Rugby World Cup games right up to the final. You did it Bokke! ;) The final 4 days at Imagine Africa Lodge were a dream. The fact that the lodge is not huge makes the stay super personal and cosy. The food was always delicious, the huge tents are incredibly beautiful and the view directly onto the reserve is just amazing. In addition to spotting impalas, we even could see giraffes and an elephant from our terrace. The entire team was remarkably kind and caring. We had a great time and had very good and funny conversations with them. Our last evening will remain in our memories. ;) It was our first time in South Africa and thus our first time at Imagine Africa, but definitely not our last!
