Kum Kula Lodge — Hotel in Maruleng Local Municipality

This was our best accommodation in south africa, even considering all-inclusive resorts!|Personal and warm service; Dave is a gentleman and a scholar, and did everything from giving us detailed tips for a safe and interesting driving itinerary from Joburg to Kruger (and gave us his mobile number for reference along the way), to making us a personalized boma dinner with various game meats and garden vegetables, to taking us in an unforgettable nighttime stargazing bushwalk.||The property is Incredibly beautiful and charming, from the wild bush just at the gate to the main lawn surroinded by the chalets and populated by giraffe and Impala grazing peacefully, with a beautiful deck overlooking the bush, making for an unforgetable sunset experience.||Our room was beautiful, with nice decor, big comfortable bed, net and mosquito protections, full fridge with good selection, coffee making facilities, gap-sealed and auto-closing doors (for animals), We also saw monkeys, bushbabies, owls, hares, gerbils, zebra, gnu, giraffe and various antelope in the property right from our window. And we heard lion and hippo at night. We had animals at other properties, but at no place did it look as peaceful and harmonious as this.||On top of that, the property offers customary room service and various tours and activities as its usual in the greater kruger area, with the difference being the great company amd knowledge of their guides. Prices are lower than average though (please keep them low, as we plan on returning soon, haha)|I cannot recommend this place enough. It was our best stay in S. Africa, and we could not have wanted anything more.||I cannot recommend this...

This place is more than amazing. After a long drive from Johannesburg we were happy to stay in such a lovely Lodge for the first two nights, but we would've loved to stay eben longer. Dave is simply amazing. He took us on a bush walk and explained a lot about nature & everything, he brought us pancakes in the morning and even made us banana bread for out drive to Kruger. The lodge itself is simple but has everything you need - beautiful sun deck at the pool, fireplace & a viewing deck. We could spot giraffes around the lodge noch every day. Thank you Dave for sharing your beautiful place with us, we definitely will come back sooner...
