I loved every minute at Mohlebetsi from the time they picked me up at the airport! | I am a solo traveler and felt very safe and comfortable. First of all the staff was awesome everyone from the front to the back to the chef and everyone in between that I got to know during my stay. Everyone was professional yet very approachable, friendly and super helpful. The rangers and trackers that took us on daily game drives were exceptionally well versed in the field, expert at tracking and found me the big 5 by day 2. Having been on safari several times I had been privileged enough to see the 5 before but it never gets old. I mentioned the one animal I had not seen on any of my trips were the African Wild Dogs and Lucky, my guide, found me a pack of 4 relaxing around a water hole by the end of the first day!! The atmosphere is professional but friendly and I loved that on occasion our guides were able to eat with us so we got to get to know them and I'm sure I asked way too many questions but they were more than happy to answer them and tell stories of their own. The grounds were lovely and very well kept with areas to relax and enjoy or wander and find a little spot to nap. There were several Boma style rooms that were very clean, well appointed and super comfortable. It was a pleasure at the end of the day to slide into a most comfortable bed with comfy linens and pillows. I was in Boma #2 which was closer to the communal areas, dining, pool etc and found the location perfect for me but if you want more privacy ask for a room further out. My room did have AC but never used it and I opened the window to catch the breeze and wildlife sounds and it was quiet and peaceful. The schedule for the day was posted so you know ahead when the game drives, meals and sundowners were going to happen. I'm home 3 weeks and trying to figure out how to get back to Kruger and another stay at the...

We enjoyed a truly magnificent stay at this lodge as a family of four, with our children aged 8 and 10. While the accommodation itself is comfortable and atmospheric, what genuinely elevates the experience is the exceptional staff, who create a homely, warm ambience that makes your stay utterly unforgettable.

The thoughtful attention to detail throughout our visit was remarkable — from cold water in refillable bottles for each guest in the safari vehicle and warm waterproof blankets for chillier outings, to jugs of cool water positioned near the poolside. All tabletop items meant to remain during meals, such as sauces and condiments, were carefully protected with traditional mesh covers to keep insects at bay.

Our hosts, Henriette and Janku (apologies for any misspelling), clearly take genuine pleasure in engaging with their guests and ensuring each stay feels special. The culinary team, led by chefs Gale and Sally, demonstrated remarkable skill, providing exceptional food accompanied by warm, smiling service from all catering staff. The overall atmosphere strikes a perfect balance— engaging and friendly whilst affording ample privacy, making you feel genuinely welcomed rather than merely another booking.

A special mention must go to our wonderful guide Octavia, whose personable nature and engaging demeanour enhanced our experience immensely. His constant interaction with our children, patiently answering their endless questions with unfailing good humour, was particularly appreciated.

All things considered, we enjoyed a truly relaxing and extraordinary experience at the lodge and sincerely hope to return in future. Whilst the safari itself and our wildlife encounters were indeed brilliant, I've focused this review on the accommodation and service, as these elements truly distinguished our...

Does the perfect lodge exist? Well, absolutely yes! From driving up the driveway and already seeing some of the animals, to the warm welcome with refreshing drinks and a snack.

Upon entering the lodge you become part of the family, of the group. A fixed schedule, everyday the same, gives an unexpected calmness to your routine.

The game drives are absolutely amazing. The skilled guides (Hamilton & Co) are so good in what they do and try to give their guests the best Safari each time.

The chef and the ladies prepare everyday a menu to enjoy. From delicious lunch to special evening dinner around the boma. Even a special private open fire dinner for our Honeymoon as a surprise.

The room is fabulous with the outside shower. A huge thank you as well to the housekeeping staff for both housekeeping as the turndown service. Absolutely perfect.

Yes, it comes at a cost but it is absolutely worth it. The passion of the owners (Nina and Jacques) combined with every single one of the staff makes it an unforgettable experience that when you are in the neighbourhood, it would be a crime not...

We had a wonderful time in Mahlabetsi Safari lodge We stayed here 5 days/4 nights The service is fantastic The safari tour starts from 5-9 am Breakfast after that Lunch at 2 pm And Safari tour from 4-7 pm Dinner at 8 pm. More important thing is we found many interesting wildlife and the ranger always explain and stop or move when we want a better photo shot. The guests also very nice and friendly from all over the world, mainly European. However I found the set up group for Safari tour is a bit weird, as we stayed there very long we would like to see some other new animals but because they kept adding new guests in our car, so we kept seeing big 5 games (as much as we can) I ended up having thousand of Leopards, Rhino, Elephants etc... I understand this is good for new guests as they all want to see big 5 but we saw them and we want to explore new animals
