La Cruize Guest House — Hotel in Matjhabeng Local Municipality

I stayed at La Cruz Guest House during a business trip this past week and the service I received from Linda was phenomenal. She was so accommodating when I arrived earlier than expected to check-in. My room, bathroom and study were really spacious. I also appreciated that my room was pre-heated as it was really cold in Grahamstown. The food provided was delicious, from Breakfast to Dinner. Sitting at the fireplace in the communal spacious lounge area was exactly what was needed after a long day. The owner of the guesthouse only let us know when we arrived at the gate that he double booked and as such he was not able to accommodate us. This despite prior arrangements of check in and check out details 2 days before . I was truly disgusted and annoyed. We had to sit outside in our cars while scrambling around to find accomodation. He had the whole day to let us know he made a mistake but he kept quiet. This was very professional!! The room was a bit small, but it had an en suite. The electric blanket and rotating heater were nice bonuses. There is a pool on the property, but it was unsurprisingly unmaintained during winter.
