Nyala Lodge — Hotel in Matjhabeng Local Municipality

It's with great sadness that I have to report the level of unprofessionalism and unfairness we experienced at lodge at 6 nyala guest house!

We had booked a floating boat and later decided to add picnic decor. Truth be said, we were impressed with the decor, which we liked despite the fact that it was different from the pictures we had been shown...

We didnt anticipate that the place would be packed as it's our first time going there. We were booked for 14:00 and didn't anticipate that there will be so many people, who were apparently there from 10:00...

We had always been told that we will not be refunded but we could reschedule. We informed the lady who was assisting us that it would not be possible for us to proceed becauce my partner was 7 months pregnant and there were people who were drunk and kept jumping into the pool so we didnt wanna risk it as one might jump in and bump into my partner...

We had made one the staff member aware that we shall see how the situation gets as the time goes on, whether some people will leave so we could ride the boat but people kept coming in so we couldn't expect other people to come out of the pool for us to enjoy the ride... Since both parties had agreed that we would come during the week, I went the following week to arrange that we reschedule due to reasons stated but we were denied that entitlement😓

A pregnant women isnt sick but sensitive importantly FRAGILE she doesn't que at bank a waiter makes sure about her food before she places a order I fail to understand why those ladies were rude and mean.

In an edition to why they are refusing for us to speak to the manager/owner and how could a woman treat a other woman like this. Bookings.com it's sad to have such place listed on...

The place is not value for money, I paid for 2 nights stay at the "2nd" house however when I checked in on Friday the 9th September I was told that there's someone else staying in that room because they checked in on Thursday and checking out on Monday and he is a regular and he requested that room🤬🤬🤬. If that was not enough I was given a room at the 1st house as a contingency plan,the room was not ready by 17h00 and their check in time is 16h00,we had to sit outside and wait for house keeping to finish with the room. Eventually when we were told the room was ready,we went in the floor was still wet 😳 and the curtains looked like they will fall during the night, toilet was blocked and couldn't flush🤮🤮🤢🤢. We didn't have a remote for the TV because " they don't have them", we got 1 towel to use for the whole weekend 🙄 😢😢. Saturday we left to do our errands and we got back in the evening and found our room still not cleaned,the sheets were still the same one's we used the previous day and that same towel. Sunday the 11th September when we wanted to shower they didn't have hot or even warm water, we were told to wait a bit because hot water is finished because other guests bathed. We waited for almost an hour then we went to shower again but the water was still ice cold. We only brused our teeth and went to shower at a friend's place 🤬🤬🤬. The place was disgusting and the people who work there are rude and unfriendly. I will never set my foot in that place again, it was my first time going there and I will...

Can't speak to the services aside from that they ignored my request to have the spotlight shining directly into my room, which does not have sufficient curtains to block such a light (one layer curtain is not enough) switched off, requested this per phone call and via WhatsApp...3am and still nothing.

Also can't speak to the quality of the other rooms, but mine isn't sound proof, probably due to the door not properly fitting in its frame, a very cheap feel to it, constantly had to listen unwilling to the lady making phone calls in front of my room.

Guests were noisy, this is not as much a reflection of the establishment as it is of the guests staying here.

Bed was comfortable, aircon works and good location.

Would I recommend it or consider it again? No.

Will check out after 1 night despite having paid for 2.

Edit. After having the night I had, finally falling asleep around 4am, I am awake by the noisy kitchen around 5am, making breakfast...I can even hear the microwave humming... And then, the guy goes knocking on people's door and shouts "breakfast!!" - who does that? Let your guests go have breakfast when THEY want...you never know what kind of...
