Fair Haven Guest House — Hotel in Matlosana Local Municipality

We stayed at Fair Haven for two nights to attend a family wedding. We will never be back.|1. One of the rooms was dirty, and the sheets had not been changed for some time.|2. One of the rooms allocated to us had absolutely no security and was right on the main road. The shower in this particular room didn't function properly, and the promised tea and coffee facilities were not provided. Also this room had neither hangers nor hanging space.|3. Another room allocated to us had a faulty multi plug. When we reported it there was no offer of assistance and we had to buy our own.|4. Someone came into our rooms repeatedly during the day when we were away. Our plug point was switched off, meaning our fridge was off and the food we had in there was completely ruined. Not only that, the ice in the freezer melted which meant there was water everywhere.|5. Rules about noise after certain times were not enforced and we had to ask noisy guests to be quiet ourselves. |6. The amount of road noise made it impossible to sleep.|7. None of the televisions carried the channels promised.|I would not recommend this establishment to anybody. Certainly not...

Thanks for an SA experience. We stayed in the largest accommodation available, a stone cottage that consist of 3 double bedrooms upstairs with a shower room, large open plan lounge/ kitchen. The furniture was dated, the hob and dishwasher very old and very used. The stairs leading to the first floor was a bit tricky to maneuver after a braai and some Black label (local beer), as a couple of the steps are loose and rather dangerous. Not a very comfortable room. Fridge smelled like something died in there. Could not use the fridge henceforth. Put a plate out and forgot some crumbs in there, in less than 5 minutes the place was crawling with ants ants even tried my wallet to see if there was anything edible inside. Bath was made for midgets. Poor TV reception no DSTV. and in this particular occasion the neighbours were extremely noisy. Went home a day earlier than...
