Beautiful resort that they are located in, but the rooms are very sparsely equipped as cheaply as possible. The bathroom has nowhere to put your toiletry bags etc., so you keep them on the floor. The rooms have one tiny side table between the two beds. The two plastic chairs have no small table in-between so nowhere to put your small stuff. The open hanging cupboard has no shelves to put underwear etc. Just a slatted ledge that stuff can fall through. The first night there was no hot water. There is just a fan in the room so in summer I would not stay there as you will die of the heat with no aircon. There is not even a small bar fridge to store your own things in, you have to use the communal fridge in the communal kitchen. The owners use that as their personal kitchen too so we couldn't find the toaster to make breakfast as the owner had taken it to her place we think. You get 1 toilet roll that looks recycled 100 times. I had to ask for a second one. If you stay, bring your camp chairs, own braai to use on your patio if you want privacy and space. Bring your own pillow as the pillows are hard. There is no DSTV, in case you expect it. There is no card machine so pay all upfront. The estate this is in is not really suitable for walking (it is a residential estate) in so you will just use this place to...

But, problem is the owner, he stays in one of the rooms at the property and you will find him drunk at least 80% of the time. On the 2nd day after coming back from Kruger National Park, he started abusing and passed racist comments to us and stopped us in entering the rooms. He has all the keys of the rooms, as helper locks all the rooms after cleaning in the morning. There was a lot happened that evening.
At the end we have to call the security to get the keys. I will never...
Read morePieter, the host, is originally from Holland and decided to invest in the establishment of this lodge. It is new and requires certain items, but as Pieter says it is a project in progress. He is working towards a niche market wherein his game lodge offers a peaceful overnight stay with daily game drives, alternating with scenic expeditions, all at affordable rates. The lodge offers communal braai, kitchen, dining and TV facilities, with rooms that are clean and the service is with a smile. A few changes as Pieter plans and I`m sure he will occupy a sustainable part of that niche. My wife and I enjoyed our stay....
