Luckily it was for 1 night only. We all came from various regions for a family function at a near-by venue. In total 10 of us. 2 stayed in a large room separate from the main house. Open toilets - no privacy. not all couples want to watch each other on the loo. 2 other had a small en-suite bathroom, 6 of us had to share 1 bathroom. Totally unpleasant! shower suited short people. No soap. No tea nor coffee was available until the following morning after the housekeeper arrived at 8am and asked me if I wanted coffee. Then only were the cannisters filled..only coffee and cremora. no teas. There was chicken left in the oven (not by us) and while we were still chatting and packing, one of the couples left, she was starting to strip the beds and clean, and we had to keep dodging each other in the passage. She was very friendly, but clearly there no BnB etiquette taught. Check out is at 10am, we left at 9am so it would have rather been best to first wait for us to leave before cleaning up around us. I also own a BnB. My self catering and your self catering are vastly different it seems. The outside lights were on all night, so the bedrooms facing the pool would have that strip of LEDS shining in all night. we did search for a switch. There are house cats, fine but we had food out on the table, had to then continuously take the cat off the table. Beautiful view from the pool area, what a HUGE pity you've now planted exotic palm trees all around. All that indigenous landscape and you want palm trees. Perhaps as a family with smaller children, its ok, but if you're sharing with other adults or strangers, not quite the...
Read moreWe were a huge group of 30+ people an amount of over R15000 for a 3 nights stay. After along journey,We arrived about 2hrs early then the check in time so we hanged around the pool area, very nice and relaxing. However I got my room 2hrs 30min (17:30pm)after the check in time due to linen not being dry??? The 1 apartment had worms coming out of the shower,The air-cons were leaking,The cupboards were broken. The staff were well taken care of by the group, handing out food and money as token of their appreciation. The electricity and water supply were inconsistent from day 1 due to a faulty circuit breaker?
Kindly do a thorough investigation on the premises if you intend booking for large groups if the reservation can handle groups of people and hygiene as well.
It’s Very sad,as the reservation has a lot of potential to give a really great...
