KwaSiya Guest House — Hotel in Mbombela

Worst experience ever. Graded 3 star but shocking. No decent access to property. Cars park right next to bedroom windows and shine their lights through curtains all night long. Very dangerous step inside house. Dangerous entrance with boulder obstructing walk way. Our son’s bedroom door had a huge water drainage pipe which you have to step into to get to the door. I had a bad fall from a very bad step to bedroom. No grab rail, no warming. Called guest house contact on the phone but they never answered. No duvets on beds only thin throw. Our bedroom was supposed to have a balcomy but none! Offers no meals, no crockery or cutlery available. No DSTV or Netflix in the bedrooms. We were waken up by loud Christian music on Sunday this morning playing in the lounge. Diningroom is used as Ironing room! Outside building projects overgrown by grass. Entrance wall needs serious maintenance. Whole in bathroom floor where bath was supposed to be covered by mirror. Curtains a tripping danger. White dust from sanding visible everywhere. When showering whole floor gets when and very slippery....

Wonderful location at a quiet place. Staff is friendly and the place is very neat and tidy. Downfall is that you do not get keys to access the main door to the house so you have to keep contacting the caretaker everytime you want to go in and out, especially at night because it’s locked. The only keys you get are for the rooms you sleep in, and you will then have to pay a deposit for the gate remote which can be refunded when you check out. Also you are only given one toilet paper and you have to ask if it gets finished. Otherwise it is a lovely place in a quiet neighbourhood and you will definitely enjoy your stay. Welcoming was very poor. Stood a while in front of the house. Nothing in the room were plugged in. We had to move the bed and headboard to plug in extensions and the plug then was faulty.
