I had the pleasure of staying at the Merchant Business Class Hotel during my recent trip to the Johannesburg, and I must say that my experience was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. The rooms were not only clean but also very comfortable, offering a relaxing and peaceful environment that made my stay truly enjoyable. I had a great night's sleep in the cozy bed, and the modern amenities in the room made it a perfect home away from home.

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional food at the hotel's restaurant. The quality and taste of the dishes exceeded my expectations, and I found myself looking forward to each meal. I came at my room one afternoon around 3pm and the door was wide open and nobody to be seen anywhere. Breakfast was minimal. I didn't mind because I only eat yoghurt & muesli anyway. There was however no yoghurt, only a kind of yoghurt drink and the last morning there was nothing. There were very few guests, and they knew that I only ate yoghurt at breakfast yet they still managed not to have it. I was told to be down for dinner before 8pm. When I came down at 7.30 the chef was gone. The receptionist tried to cook a steak for me but that wasn't a success. The price is ridiculously high for what you get. It looks good on the pictures so you think the price is reasonable. But don't be fooled by the pictures and the word 'Business Class' in the name. I'd call this a 2-3 star hotel, and for their price you can get into many 4 star...

It was my first time and the location didn't really inspire me with confidence for a good stay. The surrounding area is a bit doubtful wrt security and rural location. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is attractive, functional and well appointed. My room was overly spacious and modern and clean. Everything worked. The staff were on top of their game and the restaurant service was very good. The food was simple but very tasty and cheaper than the norm. The steak, beef curry and burger compared to any other high class hotel. All in all I will stay here again. They are not on four star level but certainly a solid three star facility to serve the Meyerton business...
