Leeuwenhof Country Lodge & Garden Spa — Hotel in Modimolle Local Municipality

This is a beautiful place for a true getaway from the busy life of the city not far away from the City. Here there is no celephone signal , thus no calls, no social media , no distraction whatsoever from interacting and enjoying the company of the ones you love. The staff : When we had just arrived we were welcomed with a smile and a cold drink, then shown to our room , the staff was proffessional and caring, you felt like you were home and even better visiting those relatives who love you. Even during the evening and the next morning the staff was very attentive. The rooms: The rooms are beautiful with clean linen and beautiful comfortable furniture. The setting: Magnificent setting, its almost out of a movie , and during the game drive you get to see the true beauty of the white 'Cape Town-ish' buildings. I throughoutly enjoyed myself here. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GOOGLE MAPS LOCATION FOR THIS PLACE IS NOT WHERE THE PLACE EXACTLY IS. They refuse to refund us after double charging us for our stay. My father booked my husband and I in for a night in one of Leeuwenhof's honeymoon suites as part of our honeymoon. He booked and paid everything in full almost a year in advance. When we arrived, printed booking in hand, the host told us to leave everything in the car while he does the welcoming tour with us. We then waited for him to check if the room is ready, etc. When he came back he said there was a payment outstanding, which I paid. I should have questioned it before paying, so that was dumb of me, but my husband asked what the payment was for and the host said it was for the accommodation. |We retrieved the printed booking confirmation showing that it was already paid, at which point they told us they will refund us.|It has been 2 months of back and forth with them promising to pay the refund and still nothing has been refunded.|It was clear they were unprepared for our stay, as it turns out we had to move to another room where the jacuzzi works and we had to wait for them to get the room ready.
