LETHABO LODGE — Hotel in Modimolle Local Municipality

The Owners and staff was super friendly and so helpful. You can see the hard work that they've put into the place. Well done. It is fully solar and gas. That was awesome. We received a freshly baked milk tart (yummy) The room (Guinea Fowl) was decorated tastefully. We really loved that. BUT there was a bit of disappointment when we realised our room was right next to the entrance to the Reception walkway. As well as the workers quarter right behind us. Really wish it was bit more secluded. Our room was right under three big trees with flowers. So the sinus and bee situation was not so nice. Could not leave the door open without bees swarming in. Also a lot of spider webs. You clean it now. Half an hour later you walk through spider webs. Not so nice. But that's the bush for you. What we really enjoyed was the hot tub. We had to heat it ourselves (even if it took about 4hours) we had so much fun doing so. The hike is not really a true hike. It's more just walk on the gravel road that runs through the property. The inside pool is huge. As is the outside pool. (Bit far from everything) But it looks nice. You can see there's still plenty of work to be done. But what they have done so far is absolutely stunning. Keep up the good work. Rome was not built in a day. This place will soon bee the buzz. Especially for campers. Their camp sites are outstanding. And they're busy creating more. Just wish there was a bit more to do. Like a pool table, table tennis, darts some outside games. Maybe even a put putt course. Something weird and self created to make it challenging. That would put you out there. You have the space for it. And it can bring in bit more funds. The road into Modimolle was not nice, since they are busy with roadworks. So plan ahead. But the gravel road to Lethabo was so nice. But in total. Thanks. And may you be blessed...

After initially booking for 19 - 26 February 2025, we unfortunately had to change our booking to 9 - 16 April 2025 due to a close family member being hospitalised. Nicolette immediately changed our booking - no extra costs or objections. We arrived at Lethabo Lodge in the rain at our Koedoe campsite. We were able to settle in in our own time and pack up again the following week (also in the rain!) - there was no one rushing us (even though it was just before the long weekend) and we really appreciated that. The ablutions were clean, comfortable and were serviced regularly. What a beautiful resort this is - the nature is breathtaking and we are already planning which campsite we will want to stay on next. There are so many unique campsites - Lion's Den, the new Crocodile Creek and of course the Bushcamp campsites. We walked the hiking trail (+- 5km) every day and it is really good exercise to walk around the mountain/koppies. We were able to see, among other things, the sable antelope, impala, nyala, bushbuck, golden wildebeest, blue wildebeest and kudu from very close up. The hospitality we experienced from Conrad, Nicolette and Conrad (jnr) was truly remarkable. Everyone works hard and nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work - you have a winning recipe here and it was worth every cent - affordable and good value for money. The natural beauty compliments your resort in a very special way. This place have something magical that lures you in, you want to be here. We stayed at both campsites. We want to come back very soon.
