Not 4 stars at all! This is more like 2 star motel. Accommodation pathetic and hospitality non-existent. We stayed at En Gedi over night because we have a little one and did not want to drive back home after a wedding we were addenting in the area. I asked for an early check in for 13:00 week before the date of arrival in order to freshen up with our toddler before the wedding and was told no it’s strictly 14:00, no explanation or consideration from the reservations desk. We came to freshen up at 16:00 after the ceremony and there was absolutely no staff on the property besides the security guard who let us in. He gave us the room key and obviously was not able to explain the room or any amenities in room or on the property. The front desk agent was standing at the security office and she rudely said the front desk is closed as she was waiting for her transport to fetch her for home. Upon entering the room we had immediate smell of damp mouldy, no ventilation. There is no door that closes the bathroom area to the room. An old wobbly cupboard that holds the coffee station, shower drenched in mould, 1 ply toilet paper, window tint peeling in the bathroom area for outside to see in and the toilet was leaking water out of the back. We couldn’t contact anyone on the property because all staff or front desk had left at 16:00. We emailed them asking if there would be breakfast served in the morning with no response as we previously were told if more than 10 guests had checked in, breakfast would be served. I was uneasy sleeping over that night with the mouldy air for my toddler so we left the fan on all night. As I was putting my toddler to bed I found an old sock from a previous guest behind the toddlers single bed and the pillowcases had stains on I’m assuming from a bloody nose. Highly disappointed in this property as well as the service. When we checked out at 08:00 the next morning, fhe front desk agent hadn’t even asked how our stay was, she just took the key and told me the security guard is gone to buy himself breakfast somewhere, I should call her cell and tell her when I’m at the big gate so she could open it. I couldn’t get any names as they don’t wear name badges I will never return to this property or refer anyone to use their services.

With great expectations I too went for a Mother's day lunch with my family. To our shock, the place had absolutely no sense of social distancing put into place. The place was swarming with people and chaos. It looked like they had an ongoing event and the Mother's day buffet lunch was an adjustment set up. The food served was fit for mass community feed, the meat chunks hardened like a rock that they wanted you to eat less to none. Initially there were two or three outlets for the buffet, and in less than few mins was reduced to only ONE!! Resulting in a long slow moving queue where people literally breathe into the next person!! Really unacceptable service, specially when we are in a covid period where hygiene and distancing is of utmost importance. The host was barely apologetic and defensive at the same time when I brought this to their attention. Nevertheless, I had an incomplete Mother's day lunch and left the venue owing to substandard food and threat of potential covid outbreak!!! Word of advice, please ensure they don't have any mass event when you do your booking if you want your money's worth. #disheartening#inefficient#covid hotspot#

We went to the restaurant. They have an amazing garden and we were assisted by Frans who was a wonderful host. The gentleman at the gate was so friendly and even on our way out asked whether we enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend this place. The menu didn't have vegan and gluten-free options but they were so willing to make adaptations for us. Some things were completely off the menu. The prices allow you to come for 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. They're that affordable. We were just driving from Sterkfontein and looking for any place to eat, next time I'm coming out specifically for this place.

We were basically abandoned and felt unsafe on the property.||We emailed them asking if there would be breakfast served in the morning - with no response, as we previously were told if more than 10 guests had checked in, breakfast would be served. I went to book a venue for my babyshower. The lady we set an appointment up with sold us a place that did not exist. As per norm we requested to view the place and she told us that we unfortunately cannot view as there is an event in progress to which we understood. She however sat us down detailing everything and proceeded to show us pictures of the venue and other events that has been setup at the "same venue" it was beautiful and she insisted that we book it as it might not be available again and from there we can setup a meeting to meet the coordinator to discuss the setup. She informed as that the price includes decor and everything she showed me specific tables and chairs and told us there is a bar at the venue too so and we got excited as a full on bar would be a great idea. To our surprise the bar itself is that setup of a "rent a bar" where guests have to walk outside to order on a small "stoop" i mean really. Your agent have sold us something that did not exist showed as a place that was far from what we got to view after she made us pay. Lied about decor because u do not call table cloths and chair covers decor if we specifically mentioned balloons flowers and and centre pieces. You have ruined my entire planning and made me waste my cash on invitations with your places venue on. I refuse to have my baby shower thrown in a dump spot that i was shown because then i might as well setup the room at my place. The sad part is I've viewed better venues and chosen yours based on your sales agent and the pictures and setup she showed us. I have less than a month to find another venue and i have guests coming in from different provinces. You are ruining a big life event for me and for people who make promises to the standard uou guys are u definitely need to get exposed.

I'm extremely irrate and need my money back on everything I've spent on the deposit and invitations and i hope you can sleep at night knowing how u ruined a...
