Hibon Lodge — Hotel in Mogale City Local Municipality

We booked Hibon Lodge for a weekend getaway based on the profile of the lodge.|When we arrived there, we were greeted by the friendly, Charles who was very helpful and accommodating.|The gardens were neat and well maintained with a great view as a backdrop!|The room that we stayed in was beautiful and clean. It was very spacious and well laid out with a huge bathroom. ||Before our arrival, we tried to phone several times to confirm the booking but no one answered.||Unfortunately, the loud music from the shabeen close by continued from the afternoon right through to when we checked out. We were unable to relax. ||As there were no close restaurants, we had no option but to have dinner at the lodge. There was not much of a selection to choose from in terms of food and drinks. The waitress couldn't tell us or made no effort to find out what wines there were. We ordered the fillet steak which was overcooked and basted in lots of barbeque sauce. The vegetables were also overcooked and unappealing. We weren't told how much dinner would cost. When checking out, we realised how overpriced it was.||There was no pool and the games room was disappointing. ||The geyser wasn't turned on which resulted in a cold shower.||If the above flaws were changed, Hibon Lodge would be a...

We stayed over for our wedding anniversary earlier this month. The rooms were beat and clean, we had a lovely view if the mountain. Patience was there to greet us and she was very welcoming and friendly. As it is June the weather was pretty cold but the room is equipped with air conditioning which was working perfectly. ||||The venue is quite a distance from town so therefore we had supper at Hibon, it was delicious. We had a 3 course meal which was cooked to perfection a 10/10 for Victor the chef. ||||On the not so positive side though the room was lovely there is define some minor maintenance to be seen to, i.e. the bed lamps did not work, the soap dish in the bathroom was loose and a couple of other minor things. If these were fixed the room would have been a 10/10 too. ||||The staff only being Patience and Victor were very friendly and eager to assist. ||||I would recommend Hibon as a rest stop for the weary. And would definitely go back if the opportunity...

We had our yearend function at Hibon Lodge. I would like to thank the personnel for a great stay everybody at the Lodge went out of their way to make our stay memorable. It is not easy to keep 44 people happy and you did, and always with a smile. You did much more than what we expected, the flowers on the table, the stretch tent with the couches was a very nice touch. the rooms are tasteful and very comfortable. We wish you well, may your busines grow and expand beyond all the new accommodation you are busy building. We will definitely recommend...
