I am recently returned from Kenjara Lodge and cannot praise it enough. The whole experience was fantastic. I stayed in a beautiful large room which was typically African....exactly what you want in Africa! It was rustic with all the facilities you could want. My bathroom had a large shower, toilet and basin with lovely hot water....the bed was ENORMOUS!||||What could be more thrilling than lying in your bed listening to the lions roar in the distance as you gently fall asleep. The visit to the safari park - all part of the Kenjara service - was exciting and gave one the opportunity to see animals, such as wild dog, which would be extremely rare.||||The owners, Jack and Karen, are so much fun and terribly sociable. Jack is in charge of the kitchen and makes sure that the menu is interesting, local and varied. He ensures that everything which leaves his kitchen is of the highest standard....and lots of it! Karen is a perfect host in the cosy bar. ||||The outside area has tables and chairs for enjoying the Africa sights, sounds and sunshine, and there is a pool to cool off in. Sundays they have live music to enjoy outside whilst having your Sunday BBQ or menu lunch.||||I had one of the best times I will ever remember staying in Kenjara Lodge en route to Mozambique. I will definitely be returning every year from now on. Well...

We were put in a second room where we found hair in the bed, obviously requesting the bed be remade with clean linen. This was done. My wife then asked whether the duvet was a fresh one, at first she got a positive reply, but the cleaner then admitted that it wasn't. To crown everything one of the other guests in our party found a female undergarment in their shower. The people are very nice, and the service is very good - but clean bedding and showers really are essential...
Read moreThis place is nice, plain and not to fancy but really good for the price. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and made us feel comfortable. The room had a double bed, not two singles pushed together) with a lovely bathroom. The TV only had two channels that could be viewed, the others had really bad signal. We ordered champagne in the room, and a chocolate platter for R110, we received a Biltong & Chocolate platter and was charged R210, definitely overpriced and not worth it, the value was probably not even R100, rather take your own along. Otherwise, we had...
