Pecan Bush Lodge — Hotel in Mogale City Local Municipality

Our time at this lodge was very disappointing. The venue is beautiful but the accommodation lacks comfortable element. The air-conditioning did not work as it only circulated air. When load shedding was on there was no back-up power to keep the 'air-con' working or the ceiling fan on. The mosquitos were unbearable. |The staff had a party on the 2nd night in the staff quarters which went on till 00:30. I had to walk over to their place of residence to tell them to keep quiet. Security did nothing to keep the noise levels down. We had booked ourselves in for Fri and Sat night for our annivessary but ended up leaving Sun morning at 01:30 to go home so we can get some sleep away from the noise and terrible heat (load-shedding) and at least enjoy the Sunday. |The restaurant set up was non-customer focused. If you wanted to service you had to knock on the kitchen door to draw the attention of the staff to come take orders from patrons. You could hear the staff (cooks and waiters) chatting in the kitchen. The selection of food was limited to 3 meal types (1/4 chicken with chips; chicken wings with chips & lamb chops).|There was some football game on that Sat evening and the staff that were off made their way to the boma/tented area by the pool and watched the game. |The manager was not on site to speak to and only received a phone call on the Sunday. There was a promise of a full refund if I did a review on the lodge that was positive. This I did and yet to date only received half of the promised amount. |Even had we received the full refund I would not return to this lodge or recommend this lodge to anyone looking to break away for the weekend. This was the most beautiful and awesome place we have ever been at..we were welcomed by Mark and Freeman (beautiful people 😊) and we felt welcomed immediately. The service was great from day one. Our room was clean and beautiful ❤️ Everyday buffet breakfast was on point absolutely delicious, tasty food every morning. Dinner is made by the Chefs specially, you tell them what you want to have for dinner and every night we had delicious food, tasty , fresh and healthy 😋 absolutely perfect. 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chef Mo, Sne, Riant, the head chef (the whole kitchen staff was amazing people with hearts of Gold) We came for a birthday weekend and they helped with the birthday desserts for a friend and that was a beautiful gesture. I will definitely come back to this place,over and over again because we had the most beautiful view from our room and the place is quite and peaceful. 4 swimming pool to choose from. Very nice...

If you’re looking for an affordable and relaxing getaway with the family, Pecan Bush Lodge is a great option. The staff are warm and accommodating, making the stay even more enjoyable. We booked a two-night stay and absolutely loved it. The focus here is on swimming and unwinding, which was perfect for us—my son had a blast, and I finally got to relax.

The lodge features four pools, so there was always plenty of space to enjoy. Our room appeared to be newly renovated, which was a pleasant surprise. While the lodge is primarily self-catering, breakfast is available if needed. We chose to stay in a luxury room rather than the tented units, and it was a great decision.
