The accommodation was fine. I made a wooden fire the first night because it was winter and COLD. This place is absolutely amazing! A hidden gem close to the Midlands with breathtaking views, tranquil surroundings and pristine landscapes. It offers plenty to do for any breakaway - from relaxing to mountain biking, hiking, trail running, trout fishing etc. The self catering units are well furnished with all the appliances necessary and the are is safe.

I'll definitely be back and will recommend Brackenburn Trout Retreat...

I don't have words to describe this place. Its like piece of heaven on earth. Situated on the foot of the mountain, we hiked there, amazing views on top. You can also catch a trout fish there.
