Kamberg Cottages — Hotel in Mpofana Local Municipality

Thank you Emma for an awesome weekend at Gumtree Cottage!

This cosy spot is fully equipped with everything you need, and much more! We visited during a very cold spell and were pleased to find heaters, electric blankets and most importantly the fire place in the lounge!

We loved the fact that there isn't a TV and WIFI. We really disconnected from our busy lives and got stuck into some of Emma's abundant board games, and even some awesome kids toys.

The open space for the kids to run around, ride their bikes, and even a chilly kayak paddle and dip in the dam are some of the many reasons we'll be back for...

This is our third stay as a family at Gumtree Cottage. We love the quaintness of this beautifully decorated cottage, the very comfortable bath, and its proximity to the dam. Besides spending hours paddling on the dam, our boys have also enjoyed hikes in the Highmoor Reserve, bum sliding in the nearby river, and walks from the cottage to Glengarry. Rainy days are spent playing one of the many board games that the cottage provides.

This is a great family getaway, but I am looking forward to a visit in winter with my husband, where we can light a fire inside, curl up on the couch and read...

I have had the privilege of staying at both Barnowl and Gumtree cottages on a few occasions over the years. Both cottages are well appointed, comfortable, cozy, and situated in the most peaceful environment. I just love sitting around the bonfire and looking up at the stars on a clear evening. I have even caught a trout in the dam. My most favorite part of being there are all the wonderful memories that I have shared with many special friends. I can't wait to go again.
