Kamberg Valley Hideaway — Hotel in Mpofana Local Municipality

We would have loved to book here. But the booking process was a bit unfair and not handled professionally. I could have booked online and when I just wanted to enquire about something to make sure about fencing and cattle (don’t want my dogs to bother them) I sent a message first. They replied by saying they just have to confirm if someone else is taking the booking, because those people wanted to book and she just wanted to confirm with them first. So then why open the online booking system - if I would have booked online, what would have happened- and I asked this question to her and then she said then I would have got the booking but she still wants to confirm with the other people that also wants to book- so basically she said I have to wait she has confirm with them first. We stayed in the Sunset Cottage and could also bring along our little Yorkie. She loved the enclosed yard with it's lawn and small piece of pine forest. We really spent some good family time with 'no TV', playing Monopoly in front of the fireplace, or taking relaxed walks to the dam. The Kamberg sunsets from the dam were just beautiful. The house was really neat and clean. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed our visits to the nearby Rock Art Centre and Highmoor Park, in spite of the facilities there in dire need of proper maintenance. The pothole ridden road from Nottingham Road to KVH should be negotiated in daylight. We also advice that groceries be bought at your last big supermarket e.g. the nice Spar at Nottingham Road. Absolutely awesome! Our stay at Kamberg Valley hideaway was nothing short of magical. Not only was our furry four-legged companion warmly welcomed, but the scenery surrounding the property was breathtaking. Despite loads of outdoor activities in the surrounding area, it was difficult to leave our little cottage. We could have happily stayed on the property for the duration of our stay. The accommodation was cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Richard and Sam went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
