A beautiful place. We were booked into the Jack and Jill room that had a bedroom, bathroom consisting of shower and toilet, and a living space with a self catering kitchen. There was a connecting room for the kids that had its own bathroom (bath and toilet). The kids room had two single beds, a coffee station but no kitchen. The rooms can be booked separately or together if you are a larger family. We had a coffee machine with amazing coffee. The gardens were beautiful to sit in and enjoy your coffee. The resident cats were friendly as were all the bugs. This is nature and spiders were roommates but they did keep to themselves. Breakfast was tasty and there were additional menu items to order for lunch and dinner later if you wanted. There was even under cover carport parking for the car. We were visiting for a wedding and didn't have much time for site seeing but did drive the recommended 60km lake route. It was lovely and there was a lit of bird life to see. We will definitely return.

Such an amazing little gem in Chrissiesmeer. The perfect place to spend a romantic weekend away with your better half. Each room has its own little fireplace to keep the winters chill off and then there is the massive shower :-) You can even stay in and have your food delivered to your room. We will be back!

A massive thank you for the wonderful stay! We all had the best time. I booked 6 double rooms. The rooms are clean and all towels, soaps, coffee and electric water bottles provided. Breakfast the next morning is divine! Thank you John Jack Inn!

My daugter and I booked in there on Thursday. I though it was a charming stone cottage with a lot of character and a lot of history. The rooms and bedding was clean, so I can't complain in that department. However, the water was a major problem, battled to get enough hot water for a bath. Complained about it and Lizette was very helpful. However, water problem persisted until the next day when my husband and other children arrived and he found that the flow valve of the pump is not functioning. So from there taking a bath or filling up the toilet bowl, you run outside, open the outside tap and tap the valve to open. That for 5 people getting ready for a wedding is not fun, especially while it is raining. That is understandable trying to replace a part on a easter weekend is not easy. But on Friday night my children had a leaking roof above their beds, down the wall with water all over their room and floor. Near electrocution with water pouring down the hanging lightswitch. Water leaking through the ceiling in the main bedroom. Complain again and they came to fix the problems. But my problem is, if I book and pay for a 4 star accommodation and I experience all these problems, surely managment should not accept any payment for this. Yes, they gave me a discounted rate of R400 for the 3 day stay. But I am definately not very happy. I really expect better conditions for what you pay. I cannot complain about the staff or the manager as they were always friendly and very helpful. But, unfortunately my initial 5 star rating went rapidly down...

When we arrived at this place we first had to go to the reception which was in a Billiard room. The area did not look very inviting. We got the key to our cottage and drove there. It is a self catering cottage which sleeps 6. Considering we paid R3300 for one night for 6 people this place was not value for money. They do not have a full DSTV package and no toilet paper was available. We had to go back to reception to ask them to bring toilet paper to the bathrooms. No fans in the rooms are available and in our room there was an alarm unit that was flashing a bright light all night and it seemed to be open with cables hanging out of it. At the price that it costs per night this was not...
