I had a pleasant stay with good value for money, but it was not without some serious niggles. The setting is beautiful, the reception (both human and canine) friendly, perfectly cooked breakfast and rooms that are comfortable with plenty of old world charm. Lovely old homestead. Comfortable room, but needs some attention e.g. dark bathroom, missing globes. The staff are not helpful or friendly. We are in our seventies and were offered no help at all with our cases or small items. The setting is nice but the unfriendly atmosphere put us off. A great disappointment .We would...

The serenity, vistas to be admired from the verandah, the nineteenth century homestead, the beautifully renovated (to their original glory, but with modern amenities) rooms - all of this contributes to a lovely overnight stay. Balm for the sole of a weary traveler.
