Pmb Guest house — Hotel in Msunduzi Local Municipality

We recently stayed at this guest house for 5 nights, despite booking for 10. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor cleanliness, uncomfortable rooms, and subpar service. The rooms were musty, and the WiFi was unreliable. The breakfast, which we paid for, was a meager affair - just 2 slices of bread and an egg and fried wors. The lady serving breakfast was dressed in her nightgown, which added to the unprofessional atmosphere. The kitchen was unsanitary, the pans she used to fry all those thingsthe freezer had meat blood frozen. The real issue, however, was the false advertising. The online listing promised a certain standard of amenities and service, which was not delivered. The kitchen cupboard was not as advertised, and the breakfast was a far cry from what we expected. The only redeeming factor was the kind and helpful staff member who tried his best to make our stay comfortable. However, he was hindered by the owners' refusal to address the issues. The owners' attitude towards our complaints was dismissive and gaslighting. When we raised concerns, they tried to make us feel like we were overreacting or that the issues didn't exist. This was evident when we mentioned our intention to leave a bad review, and one of the owners asked us not to - a request we ignored, as our review is based on our genuine experience. Very disappointed

Rooms is dirty. Kitchen is dirty. Fridge on the room is off and stinks. Couches is tornso bad that the you can see the springs.

Base of beds is broken

Rooms smells. Can't leave your belongings in the rooms you have to pack up every day. And take everything with you

Staff in pj's when you arrive and kids running around until very late at night on wooden floors. Food they cook stinks the whole house full.

Terrible, for the amount they charged. We were put in an outbuilding type accommodation, the second room, had to walk in back ally behind to get to room. Second room just kitchen basin. Cupboards and floor poor. No cutlery, crockery. No teas of coffees. No soap or shower gels. Kitchen in first room, full of ants and cockroaches. No fan no room cooler no AC. Shower sprays terrible, even when hot water is open, can only feel cold sprays... R850 per night. For R650, there are accommodation that is...
