Mtonjaneni Lodge — Hotel in Mthonjaneni Local Municipality

The Good part. Place was good. From the reception, the was this slender lady. She welcomed me in a professional was. She was having a good customer services. The Lodge view, since it is situated on top of the mountain ⛰. It was stunning, even when the sun set, best NATURE'S view.

The Bad part. I was sleeping at room 23 [1] in the morning the was no hot water [2] the was this man, in the dining hall. He was moody. Unfriendly. [3] The was a VERY VERY VERY POOR OF THE POOREST WI-FI reception. It seriously poor. [4] the room I was using AIR-CONDITIONER was not working. I requested to be assisted 2 times, until I accepted that they won't help me [5] Hayi ke. The rooms, the is no privacy. People who were sleeping at ROOM 21. When they were doing adult things. Bedroom was spacious and well equipped - very neat, modern and comfortable.||Lovely setting and attractive lodge with swimming pool. ||Staff were disappointing:||Example 1: I went to the bar at 17h30 to find the barman sitting on a bar stool on the guest side of the counter, eating supper with his hands. He carried on eating and I asked him for a beer, which he served me while still eating. ||Example 2: Kitchen staff sounded like they were at a wedding reception in the kitchen during supper time. They were so noisy that I would not have been able to have a conversation with anyone.||The above might not have happened if there had been someone with authority in charge, but I did not see anyone who looked like a manager. No one checked on me or other guests at meal times to ask if we needed anything or if the food was...

Mtonjaneni Lodge, Melmoth||Very attractive lodge with rustic rooms of various sizes scattered throughout a pretty park. I would say that this is a very casual lodge which also reflects a certain casualness among the staff – unfailingly friendly and cheerful if not the most efficient. We were rather surprised to be shuttled out of the common room/bar after dinner at around 21:00 because they wanted to close down and lock up. I attributed this restriction to the fact that so few people were staying at Mtonjaneni while we were there. Still, it would have been nice to close out each day with some comfortable place to linger over a drink. Food was good and plentiful; half-board price was most reasonable.
