Avoid! AVOID! In a town like Springbok with multiple accommodation options we chose the one that should charge by the hour. No staff on site should have warned us - check in is at the hotel next door, a wide open gate and no security. “Self catering chalets” are wooden garden sheds standing about 2 metres apart. Inside: a bed, table, fridge, kettle, 2 cups, bathroom with NO door, tv. Tiny windows, though a good thing due to neighbour proximity. No stoep to enjoy the view, no chairs or glasses either.
So our early night after a long drive was not to be. At 8pm about 40 people descended on our neighbour. Two cars playing different music, one the bass so loud the cabin shuddered. People shouting and laughing all around our cabin. At midnight the loud bass music headed out but the party carried on. At 3am we asked them to quiet down - couldn’t stand very bad and loud “singing” anymore but that was ignored. Considered calling the police but afraid to. It’s sunrise now … the music, singing and talking continues but we’re heading out - never to return . The one star is the minimum rating - there should be a minus option...
Read moreWhat an absolute shock when we arrived there to see the camping sites in the state that it was! We ended up not staying and left to overnight at another facility. Unfortunately, we paid in advance, but even that could not persuade us to stay. It was simply a terrible experience for our families and probably one of the worst camping sites we have ever seen! ||There was no Reception area as indicated by the arrow at the gate, just half delipidate buildings, with no one on site. There was no one there to receive us. The campsites were untidy and the so-called rustic chalets were close to being in a delipidate state. We felt uncomfortable and very unsafe and did not want to subject our families to that. So we left. It is sad to see that your website does not reflect reality in any way the state of the camping sites. Using the hotel’s photos and surroundings to lure visitors to the caravan park, borders...
Read moreYou have such a lovely caravan park, but sorry to say your ablution facilities lack some attention:- On the first morning of our visit, there was no warm water. On inquiry, one of your employees, said that "the warm water supply has reached its limit" (whatever that means. The park was not even half full! The rest of the time there, the water was hot.- Only one of the three men's showers had a stool/table/bench where clothes can be put on to stay dry. Similar at the lady's._the shower "roses" (men's & lady's) needs maintenance/replacement as it sprays all over and wets everything except your body.I hope you...
