Langholm Country Estate & Game Lodge — Hotel in Ndlambe Local Municipality

On Friday the 15th of September 2023 we took 73 learners to this establishment for the Grade 7 farewell. On arrival there was no proper welcoming as we were met by Johan after 10 to 15 mins of standing outside after we disembarked from our transport. The place was not designed to cater for large numbers esp kids as there were no activities to arouse their except for a swimming pool and a game walk. The pool was in a terrible unhygienic state and there was only ablution facility for everyone, there were 73 learners and 17 educators, there was no sound system and when asked we were promised and it never happened. We were however pleased with the braai service as they assisted us willingly. Unfortunately for us our transport delayed and at 17h00 the owner instructed us to vacate the premises as he wanted to lock up. We had to walk to the road to wait for our transport. It was cold and windy.|I guess after this experience we didn't feel valued as clients, I doubt if we will use this facility in the future, it is not suitable for farewell...

Went to Langholm to unwind, chill, sit around a fire and relax. That is exactly what we got. Was simply amazing. I believe that's where the stars gather by night coz we were joined by millions whilst around the fire. AND to top it all, we were constantly greeted by a variety of buck and even zebra and giraffe just outside our chalet. Only two residences on side of the estate we stayed at which gave us almost total seclusion. In the mornings we were greeted at our log cabin by giraffes and donkeys seeking carrots and in the evening it was the turn of the Nyalas.
